1. July 2010 Programme on Captains Board

2. Tuesday 13 July 2010 – Now Single Stableford

3. Tuesday 20 July 2010 – Stroke – Medals no longer played in Divisions

4. Monday 26, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 July 2010 – Northern Rivers Championships held at Ocean Shores Monday and Tuesday and at Mullumbimby on Wednesday.  Late Entries accepted until Friday 10 July 2010

  Preferred Lies:          Ladies please ensure that you look at the Local Rule Board on the 1^st and 10^th Tees before you tee off

  Corella Damage – Until Further Notice

Relief is available from Corella damage on greens under rule 25 – 1B3.  If Corella damage is on line of putt, without penalty lift and place ball at nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole

  Prize System:

New system commenced on 1^st January, 2010.  From that date your vouchers will be credited to your Prize Account.   See Captain’s Board for details.

  Golflink Handicap:

‘In a situation where a player competes in a competition round before a previous handicap altering score is processed, they will play off the handicap displayed on their golflink handicap.  However, if their new handicap goes through golflink before the close of competition, the committee will exercise their right to adjust the players handicap.’

  Matchplay Brooch:

Commenced Opening Day and continues to February 2011.  We encourage higher handicap and new players to participate.  Please see Bev Wingad if you are interested and would like more information

2009 Ocean Shores Ladies Amateur Challenge

Julie Swanson Div 1 Gross Winner and Bev Wingad Div 1 Nett Winner

2009 OCEAN SHORES LADIES AMATEUR CHALLENGE 130 Lady Golfers took to the Ocean Shores golf course in beautiful weather for the 10th annual two day Ocean Shores Ladies Amateur Challenge sponsored by Hotel Brunswick, Ocean Shores True Value Hardware and Daley’s Homewares. The course was very dry and the greens fast, but we do say it is a ‘challenge’. Players came from as far south as Newcastle and Toomwoomba in the north.

Julie Swanson from Newcastle playing off a handicap of 3, won the Overall Div 1 Gross event with a score of 150 for the two rounds from Jessie Dengate of Mullumbimby finishing Runner-up with a score of 165. Bev Wingad our Ladies Captain won the Div 1 Nett event with a score of 141 Nett for the 2 rounds from Val Marsh also from Ocean Shores finishing 145 Nett Gaye O’Donnell from Ocean Shores nearly took out the Bridglands Hole in One Prize on the 3rd Hole, her ball finishing 2cms from the hole. Local knowledge paid off for the Ocean Shores ladies with Division 2 Gross being won by Gaye O’Donnell, Division 2 Nett by Betty Crossley, Division 3 by Cherie Chidlow and Division 4 by Barbara Simons. OSLAC dates for next year are Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 September 2010

The BLUE MARKER CHALLENGE is played on the last Friday of each month.
